Facebook Pages

In the ever-changing world of Facebook, Business Page Tabs* (apps) are quickly becoming harder to find as Facebook moves its business users toward ads and sponsored posts. That’s not to say that you can’t still have a Page Tab, you just need to be very thoughtful of how to use it. Page tabs – especially tabs geared toward growing your Facebook Likes, are still very useful tools for your business. Here is one example of a Facebook Tab created for my own retail Facebook Page:

A few things you should know about before starting the process.

  1. Customized tabs are for Business Pages only, not for Personal Profiles. All custom tabs are being removed from personal profiles by the end of 2010. If you’re unsure if you have a profile or a business page, please feel free to contact me to discuss it.
  2. You will need a website or image host to upload any images used in your custom tabs. They cannot be hosted on Facebook. If you don’t have a website, there’s no need to worry. Contact me and we can discuss alternative solutions for you.

If you’d like to know more, I’ll be happy to consult with you about your own specific needs.

* Not available on Personal Profiles. We are in no way affiliated with Facebook and cannot guarantee changes made by Facebook will not affect Business Page apps in the future.
