Technical Experience
Web Consultant for Pier 1 Imports. Created html for both e-mail campaigns and Web site updates. Created documentation on how to build e-mails in html using Exact Target as well as documentation for site updates. Worked closely with the Marketing Team to create targeted e-mail for opted-in users and match the Web site to current advertised marketing by linking to advertised items.
Digital Librarian Assistant for Pier 1 Imports. Assisted Digital Librarian and photography team with adding meta data, organizing and searching photo library using Portfolio software. Prepared images to send to outside company for cropping (masking) silhouette photos of products. Prepared contact sheets for design and management team to review.
Web Site Consultant for VHA, Inc. Assisting the web development team with updates to the existing vha.com Web sites – both external and internal. Data entry in content management systems, BEA AquaLogic with Plumtree database and Sharepoint. Assisted with the maintenance of their internal ASP Web sites for Novation, HPPI, @Work and 340B affiliates; worked with Documentum Web Publisher for content management; assisted in the creation of new sites for VHA Novation and Provista, each under new branding; set up SQL database tables and associated ASP pages for annual conference registration; assisted in troubleshooting HTML, CSS and ASP code on all sites.
Web Site Specialist and Design Consultant for Texas Federal Credit Union. Worked closely with the Marketing Team, creating both web and print layouts, utilizing html, eps, pdf, jpg, and gif file formats. Created print ads for mail inserts, posters, banners and flyers for on site use as well as for off site events, festivals and meetings. Created spec art for promotional products such as keychains, notepads, briefcases, etc. Rebuilt company Intranet complete with all new navigation, animated header and updated information. Created javascript page to automatically update a birthday and anniversary list for employees. Responsible for updates and routine maintenance of company Internet site, including cleaning up existing javascript pages, Dreamweaver template pages, and updating html pages and graphics, as needed.
Database Consultant for Multiview. Assisted with implementation of updated Access Database for .Net Framework; assisted with troubleshooting existing SQL statements and writing new ones relating to Accounting Systems and Inventory.
Web Site Specialist, Idearc Media Corp. (formerly Verizon Information Services) Designed and maintained Web sites for small business advertising customers. Wrote supporting technical documentation for job position to comply with ISO 9000 requirements. Trained other web developers, salespeople in the use of company applications. Wrote supporting training documentation. Provided telephone technical support for advertising customers. Assisted customers with SEO optimization of their Web sites and online listings.
Independent Work with PHP, including setting up a site search feature, using include statements for navigation, reading/writing to MySQL databases for forms and for a small shopping cart.
